1st Time In The Maker

For the first couple of weeks, we were in this place called the Maker Space. We had to break down pallets to create aerobic steps for our PE/Health teacher so he will be able to use them for his class. At first I was kind of nervous to be around irresponsible people with power tools but they stepped up to the plate and didn't play around with the tools as much as I thought they were. Building that little aerobic step felt great but I was nervous. I thought that we were going to mess it up but it worked out. I felt good when we were done and people said that it looked good.

Robotics

In the Robotics class me and partner are making a sensor robot. Our instructor gives us manual on how to build it and then we then just follow the instructions. I really like this class because i want to be a robotic engineer when I graduate high school and college. This gives me a good idea on how these robots function and it is very exciting to see what I build actually work and have function. Today was our second class and my partner and I are assembling the wheels. This is my future career and I like it very much.

Maker Space

The Ingenuity Fest is about celebrating art, music, technology, ingenuity, and man-made inventions. This festival will take place in Downtown Cleveland at the Great Lakes Science Center. The Ingenuity Fest is really about exploring and finding creativity. This helps Cleveland find new and fresh ideas and new inventions. Through some of these inventions, we can help make Cleveland a better place. Design Lab is taking part in the festival to help better Cleveland not just by creating a place to sit, but by thinking beyond a "bench" and making something unique. We need to work together and listen to others to make a great design but we also need great ideas to begin with. Building the seating area makes me feel nervous but I have to be strong and support my team. I will have to step up and be a leader to get our ideas chosen.

Self Introduction

My name Toriawn and I am going to be an robotic and computer engineer when I leave high school and have scholarships to go to MIT college.I'm from Indiana and I have a big family. My grandma has liver cancer and I pray that she make it through because I want her to see me graduate high school and college. I will make a better place for the world by conserving our materials for a more greener life style so we can stay alive for another 100 years. I don't think this is a dream its more of a goal that's reachable. My dream is to become the start of greatness in my family.
